Cox Wokingham Plastics will be exhibiting at this year’s Railway Interiors Expo to showcase the latest in thermo plastic solutions that meet European safety standards EN45545.
The company has been making in-roads with carriage manufacturers by providing the very latest environmentally responsible, flame retardant thermo plastic mouldings for seats, table trays and side walls, pillar cappings and ceiling panels.
From its stand 4025 in Hall 1, the CWPL team will demonstrate the flexibility of this market leading plastic sheet that meets the European industry’s Hazard Levels 1 and 2 classes.
CWPL’s sales director, Lee Burnham, said: “We are delighted to be returning to Railway Interiors which has helped advance design, technology and safety since its launch 11 years ago.
“Plastics offer many cost benefits to train operators from being more lightweight and easy to mould to removing timely and costly processes, such as the need for paint finishes as well as being easier to maintain and keep clean.
“CWPL is ready to get on board with the train revolution and help re-shape the future of interior carriage design.”
Offering design flexibility and a range of colours, which can be bespoke to corporate identity guidelines, and various textured finishes, this material is up to 20 per cent lighter than the standard metal and glass fibre reinforced plastics, conserving fuel and reducing CO2 emissions.
CWPL has built up a reputation for producing high definition mouldings, assembly and machining of components for demanding markets such as rail, aircraft, bus and coach industries as well as the commercial industrial lighting, medical and automotive sectors.
